This service allows holders of certain types of visas to get key personal documents translated for free.
Start an applicationIf you are a recent arrival from Ukraine or Palestine and would like to access this service but do not meet the eligibility criteria, please contact the Free Translating Service by emailing fts@migrationtranslators.com.au, calling us on 1800 962 100 or completing the contact form. Further information is available here.
From 1 July 2025 the Free Translating Service will be delivered by TIS National on behalf of the Department of Home Affairs. All translation requests submitted before this date, will be processed as usual. From 1 July 2025, this page will redirect to the TIS National website for information about how to access the Free Translating Service.
